This is the bit where I say that I handcraft each and every one of my shades with skill, dedication and passion.
The dedication comes from hours trying to prove myself. It’s an internal push borne out of the knowledge built up from childhood, knowing that I’m never going to be good enough. Spending hours dyeing, folding, tucking, perfecting.
And the passion? Comes from loving what I do. Loving colour, exploration, the knowledge that someone has bought something because it means something to them also. But the why is something very different.

These shades came out of a period of loss. Of losing family members, friends, a little boy who we loved as our own but never was. They took me from darkness to light, pun intended. The process of creating something unique helped me to deal with the everything else. Of having something to remind me, light up a corner and show there is still some beauty left, even when you feel the world is a dark place.
So, whatever these shades mean to you, whether they are a memory piece, a decoration, or something that just resonates with you, thank you for your patronage. Thank you for the stories you share with me of who the shade was built in memory of. Thank you for the pictures of the homes they fill. Thank you for helping me find find peace, keep my hands busy and, in some small way, thank you for helping me make something with meaning.
